There are a variety of resources that have been available to individuals to find and search for grants from the government. This site can be helpful in finding federal government grants, but lacks the listings of local and private funding — of which individuals may have a greater interest in.

To search for grants that are available through your local government agencies and the various private foundations, accessing on online database or directory is probably the best resource available.

When accessing these resources, you typically have the added benefit of additional grant writing resources. For instance, you can often call a hot-line to get help from a professional grant writer, who can walk you through the entire process of applying for and receiving these funds.
In addition, you’ll likely have access to a searchable database that will outline the amount of money that is currently available, the eligibility requirements in order to be considered for the particular grant, and sample applications that you can use as a model to submit the best possible request. As a result of using these resources, there is the potential to increase your chances of getting approved for the most amount of money possible. With access to one of these programs, you can often find:

While the specific qualification requirement will vary from program to program, when you have access to the right resources to help you search for grants, you’ll have a chance to find multiple financial aid that you may qualify to receive. As long as you are at least 18 years old and a tax paying citizen, there is no limit on the number of offers that can be applied for or received.
