Grants for single mothers are available to help women who are faced with the challenge of raising a family but do not have the time or financial resources to get ahead. The burden to raise a family and bring in an income that supports yourself and your children is difficult. Grants for single mothers can be obtained to help pay for daycare, assist with educational expenses, help pay utility bills, and to even pay your attorney fees. There are hundreds of government and private grant programs, and single moms may be able to claim thousands of dollars from these programs.

Who Can Obtain Grants for Single Mothers?

Any American that is at least 18 years old can apply for government grants. If you are a legal, adult citizen, then you can apply for as many grants as you like. With hundreds of grants for single mothers available, each one has different qualification requirements. The best thing to do is to search the grant database, match your background, interests and situation to the criteria of the available funding programs, and apply for those programs that most closely match your qualifications.

While there is billions of dollars in free grant money available, many of these funds go unclaimed simply because many people don’t know they exist. While these programs may not be advertised, the government provides financial aid to help those in need. It may just be a matter of asking for the money.

I am a single mother trying to further my education so as to support my children. To be able to do this I need financial help to pay my bills and house payment. I also need help paying a huge debt I have in student loans and credit cards from going to school fulltime for the past 5 years. Any help that I can get would be a blessing to my children and I.

I am a single mother of two and for me to feel like I am doing everything possible to ensure a future for my boys and I. I need to go back to school and complete a degree in a realistic field. I have intentions on attending a University this Fall in Business Management, if I can get approved for a grant. I will be also so grateful, if I could get a grant to help out with my bills, so I wouldn’t have to work as much and I can focus more on my schooling.

I am a single mother of three kids. I need help with my home. My home is not the best for we are of wire replacement. I dont have any help for as taking care of my kids and financially. I attend school at Ashford Online and i as doing my best to raise my kids and keep my bills paid.

Im a single mom of three kids.I need some help with some food,clothes and some of my rent.Im a little behind on my light bill.I dont have help with any of the kids and my financially.I do work.but i only get 30hours a week.and im trying to do my best to raise my three kids and keepmy bills piad.do you think i can get a free grant to help me out thank you any grant you give me is find.just so it can help me with the kids. thank you latricia crume

I am a single mother with an infant premature baby. I am unemployed, behind in all of my bills, my car is currently not running. I am looking to further my education at the University of Phoenix College to be a Health Care Administrator. I am hoping to be approved for a grant so I an attend the school, be caught up with my bills, and be able to pay for child care.

I am a 25 yr old single mother of one, and expecting another one in 4 weeks. I work (barely 30 hrs. a wk), attend school, and struggle to pay my bills, including childcare. I would really like to be approve for this grant, so that I can go finish school next Spring, pay my bills during my maternity leave, and pay for childcare without any worries whatsoever.
