My mother died in 2006 and its been a harsh struggle for me and my daughter since. Through it all I managed to complete my GED and Medical Assistant Program. I am currently enrolled at Solano Community College and recieve $555.00 monthly from human assistance but I have to pay $500.00 monthly for rent and that leaves me with $55.00. I can't even buy personals. I try with every breath I have to make sure my daughter make it to school daily but that is a struggle some days also. Getting approved for a grant would truly help me and my daughter succeed in life and hopefully I can complete my 4 year Register Nurse program without any absences as well as my daughter. We won't have to worry about transportation, food, clothing, personal needs or not finishing school because we would have recieved the help we were looking for, just a stepping stone.
